Staufen Burgberg

The Markgräflerland is a region of Germany that lies between the Rhine and Schwarzwaldbergs (Black Forest Mountains). It begins in the south near Freiburg and reaches Weil am Rhein. The vineyards stretch to the Black Forest, homely winegrowers line the streets, fields and orchards lie in between. The picture shows the wintery Belchen in the evening, before the Staufen Burgberg (the castle in the foreground).
